Liposuction - Male Chest Before & After Case 15, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Spokane, WA

Not all of our patients getting Smartlipo laser liposuction are from Spokane and Coeur d’Alene. Patients can fly in from areas outside the Inland Northwest to have their bodysculpting procedures performed by Dr. Johnson.  Also, not all of our patients are at or near their ideal body weight. Although the ideal liposuction and/or bodysculpting patient is within 10 to 20 pounds of their ideal body weight and has small areas of unwanted fat, there are some exceptions to the usual indications for liposuction body sculpting procedures. This is a very motivated 62 year old man from Alaska. He had a slow accumulation of unwanted fat admittedly from poor diet and exercise. While liposuction is not a substitute for weight loss, some patients need a little boost of confidence to get them motivated to eat healthy and exercise more. He already a plan in place and was losing weight. We discussed options of losing more weight alone, tummy tuck, abdominoplasty, and even bariatric surgery. After carefully considering his options, we both felt confident that he would continue working towards his ideal body weight and that large volume body sculpting done safely would be of benefit to him.

We performed Smartlipo MPX laser liposuction in our Coeur d’ Alene office in June 2009. Fat was removed from the abdomen and chest.  He recovered from the procedure very quickly and stayed in Coeur d’ Alene for one week. He was seen back in the office for check-ups the day after the procedure and the day he left for home. These photos were taken by the patient at home both before the procedure and 6 months after.  The exciting part of this case is the fact that the patient continued with Weight Watchers and walked 2 to 3 miles 4 times per week. He has gone from a 44 to a 38 in pants and had to buy new belts.  Since his operation he has lost 42 pounds! “I am very happy. Overall the results are great.”
