Liposuction - Neck / Precision TX Face & Neck Before & After Case 9, Coeur d'Alene, ID, Spokane, WA

This is a 49 year old man living near Spokane, Washington who has been noticing that his neck and chin are making him look older and less fit. He called it a turkey neck. He is otherwise healthy and physically fit, but has skin laxity and excess fat below the chin. This makes him self-conscious and less confident. He became interested in Smartlipo because of the lack of down time and potential for excellent results. He entertained the idea of a neck lift surgery but he was not interested in general anesthesia, nor the down time associated with surgery. On examination he was found to have skin laxity and a sub-mental (under the chin) fatty deposit that were very amenable to laser assisted liposuction. We discussed the procedure and that it would take approximated one hour to complete. The advantage of using the laser during the procedure is to help tighten the skin. The laser also helps lessen any bruising that might occur which translates into a quick recovery. The laser used during the procedure was the Smartlipo Triplex. We used a blended array of 1064nm and 1320nm laser wavelengths. In order to achieve the best results, we sit the patient upright for inspection prior to the completion of the case. This gives us a true idea of the final result. We often had the patient a mirror during this inspection and wait for the “Wow” that often comes out of the patient’s mouth. After the procedure he had minimal pain and was sent home with a compression garment. He was instructed to remove the elastic garment in only 3 days.
